Labeled, in red ink, Michelle, the pale blue Compusoft 3 1/2-inch floppy disk contains not the video itself, but a link to the video, which seems unlikely given that the disk appears to have been loaded with the file in 1988. The video itself is a mash-up of sourced and unsourced footage accompanied by an audio track (added later, it appears) featuring what can confidently be asserted as Richard Nixon’s voice. In fact, the disk is mislabeled, as the man who appears is named Mitchell (not Michelle). There is a grace to the movement of the implied camera in several shots, a movement which suggests, as might be expected, “the terror of pure reason.” —E Obenauf, M Shiflet, A Sensenig, E Edgewood
